CGIAR Knowledge Sharing Activities

The ICT-KM Program's Knowledge Sharing (KS) Project recently conducted a call for proposals to support 12 pilot activities that will give CGIAR Centers, Programs, and System Office Units new opportunities to develop, apply, evaluate and share innovative knowledge sharing approaches to make their work more effective.

Funds totaling US$255,000 will be applied to the following areas:
1) Research projects and activities
2) Institutional change management
3) Virtual, institutional and research teams and communities

The pilot activities will help bridge the gap between researchers and end users, thereby increasing the uptake of research outputs; introduce KS into organizational change management projects of CGIAR Centers, Programs and System Units; and strengthen the collaborative efforts of virtual teams and communities including CGIAR Center staff and partners in the area of administration, research, and research support.

The Program has received a total of 35 proposals: 26 for research activities, eight involving institutional change management, and one for a virtual team. The review process will take place shortly.

Further information can be found at the KS website: http://www.ks-cgiar.org.
