Digital Content for Learning
The purpose of the project is to increase the availability, accessibility and re-usability of CGIAR digital content for learning available through the Online Learning Resources (OLR) repository.
Opportunity
The project enhances the enabling infrastructure, which supports the availability, accessibility and use of CGIAR digital content for learning through the OLR repository / CGXchange, by providing integrated solutions that address technical, instructional and organizational components, and the strengthening of a community of practice of CGIAR training officers that can mobilize organizational cohesion, the sustainability of this infrastructure and associated learning design models.
Project objectives
- Promote the OLR repository as the enabling infrastructure to disseminate learning objects
- Stimulate the educational content enrichment of re-usable learning objects through learning object metadata (LOM)
- Increase the creation, publication, discovery, acquisition, access, and use of quality learning objects
- Strengthen the community of CGIAR training officers
Project outcomes
- Improved quality learning objects available in the OLR repository
- Increased number of learning objects uploaded to the OLR repository
- Increased number of learning objects downloaded from the OLR repository
- Improved authoring process of learning content in CGIAR Centers
- Increased usage of the OLR tools by CGIAR scientists and partners
- Strengthened CGIAR presence in the Global Learning Objects Brokered Exchange (GLOBE) alliance
- More frequent collaboration of training officers
