2005
is a year of growth and innovations in the Information
and Communications Technology (ICT) and Knowledge
Management (KM) arena of the CGIAR. With the strong
commitment and dedication of the 2004 Investment Plan
Project Coordinators and their respective teams,
activities and projects have made good progress,
benefiting many colleagues in the System. Our
Program will be showcasing the major accomplishments
achieved this year in the upcoming CGIAR Annual General
Meeting in
Morocco
.
In
this month’s Newsletter allow us to recap with you the
objectives of the 2004 Investment Plan Projects in our
strive to realize an ICT-KM Program vision of a CGIAR
without boundaries, an internationally distributed,
unified and open knowledge organization; increase the
effectiveness of staff work; contribute to positive work
environments; and result in direct and indirect economic
efficiencies. Also included are the usual updates on the
Program activities.

Investment Plan
If you
can envision the CGIAR as a large, coordinated system
where staff and partners are better informed and
connected, where innovation is facilitated, and where
information and knowledge are easily accessed and shared
broadly, you will understand the main objectives of the
2004 ICT-KM Program Investment Plan. But let’s look in
