Concluded in 2009
The ICT-KM Program’s 2004 Investment Plan was designed to address major needs within the 15 CGIAR Centers. Various activities under this plan gave staff access to System-wide resources and a unique set of collaboration tools; provided seamless communication across the Centers; promoted greater knowledge sharing in support of increased effectiveness; enhanced the communication capabilities of scientists through advanced research networks; and provided remote offices with the basic Internet connections that many of us take for granted.
The 2006 Investment Plan, which covered Phase II of the Program, focused on providing follow-on support for several critical, System-wide activities that were started under the 2004 Investment Plan. Only by consolidating the gains of these activities was it possible for all CGIAR staff and partners to benefit from their returns. Efforts were also initiated to ensure that the necessary human resources were in place to enable the Program to effectively fulfill its objectives and plan for future investments.
All Projects in the 2006 Investment Plan were concluded between 2008 and 2009.
